Why use PRECISION for your home inspection?
Longevity - On-Site Reports - Experience - Included Termite Inspection - Layman's Terms - Little Extras - Competitive Prices
There are many home inspectors in Austin. You should only use one you are very confident about.
Here are a few reasons you may want to consider us:
LONGEVITY: We've been in business since 1983. A company doesn't succeed & grow for 25 years unless it's satisfying client needs
+ adding value.
ON-SITE REPORTS: many home inspectors still hand write their reports(!) or generate them back at the office with you not getting it
for 2-3 days. This can cause problems if you have a short option period, need to get other inspections done (pursuant to recommendations
on the home inspection) or obtain repair estimates.

EXPERIENCE:
Bob & Scott both have extensive general construction experience - more than 20 years each (Bob as a construction manager and Scott as a remodeler).
This is the best background to have in the home inspection industry, bar none. Many property inspectors have no or limited
construction experience such as a deck builder, electrician or handyman. Both of us hold "professional" unrestricted licenses, the toughest
of 3 designations earned (by testing) through the Texas Real Estate Commission. Do you want your home inspected by someone with only an
"apprentice" or basic "inspector" designation? Bob's license number is 105 (the lower the number, the longer the inspector has been in business).
We are approved by Home Buyers Warranty Corp. and
Residential Warranty Corp. as new construction warranty inspectors. All Texas home inspectors are licensed, which is very easy to get.
Precision Inspection's inspectors are code certified, a very tough designation to achieve. Bob is past president of the American Real
Estate Inspector's Society, Texas state chapter.
WE DO OUR OWN TERMITE INSPECTIONS: We are licensed by the Texas Structural Pest
Control Board (license # 5769). Most home inspectors do not have this license and can't do termite inspections so they must call someone
in that industry to do the termite inspection for you. In our view, this causes a conflict of interest because the termite man is not that
interested in making $60-70 doing an inspection but is very interested in finding insects to treat ($500-900 or more for a termite treatment)
often on very flimsy "evidence". This can cause all kinds of problems for you during the negotiating phase of your earnest money contract.
As an aside, we do our own pool inspections as well !
WE USE LAYMAN'S TERMS: All other home inspectors use technical jargon in their reports which is only understandable to other property inspectors
or those in the construction field! We pride ourselves on only using easy to understand wording so buyers, sellers, & agents can understand
the report. We feel this is one of the biggest benefits to using Precision Inspection
LITTLE EXTRAS: with every home inspection our clients get a free home maintenance video and a pre-approved & screened contractor list.
(these are good, honest and competent workmen). On vacant homes, we offer a free return trip to check gas (if off at time of inspection) or
check a/c (if too cold to turn on at time of inspection). Other companies charge you an additional fee for this. Because of our extensive
background in construction and remodeling, we can provide you with independent estimates for repairs.
PRICES: 95% of all the home inspections we perform cost between $300 & $400 (includes termite inspection & tax)
